At Iowa Walls, we’ve always believed in the power of community and long-lasting partnerships. Over the years, one of our most cherished relationships has been with Xavier High School, where we've had the privilege of contributing to several key construction projects. Our journey with Xavier began in the summer of 2016, and since then, we’ve played an integral role in transforming the campus through multiple construction phases.
From 2016 to 2018, we were involved in the complete removal of the aging asphalt parking lot and replaced it with 6 inches of concrete, ensuring a durable and long-lasting surface for the school’s daily traffic. This major project wasn't just about paving; it included flatwork, foundation work, sidewalks, and the creation of a new, improved parking lot. Our team also worked on decorative concrete, monument concrete, and the entire layout for the baseball and softball fields, including dugouts and concessions. The transformation was a significant project that made a lasting impact on the school's infrastructure.
Supporting the Catholic school district has always been close to Matt Burger’s heart. As a father of four children who have all gone through the Xavier Catholic School System, Matt is deeply invested in ensuring the school’s success. Over the years, he has been proud to provide work whenever the school needs it, knowing the impact his contributions make on the students, faculty, and the community at large.
In 2021, following the damage caused by the Derecho in 2020, we returned to Xavier to add a new addition to the baseball and softball fields, including the construction of concrete concessions. It was a tough year for many, but we were honored to be part of the rebuilding efforts, bringing back the energy and excitement to the fields the school loves.
What sets our company apart is not just the projects we complete but the people behind them. Every employee at every branch of Iowa Walls has had the opportunity to work on a project at Xavier High School. It’s a testament to our team’s dedication, skill, and pride in the work we do.
The 2016-2018 exterior paving project, which spanned three years and was completed in yearly sections, was a major undertaking, but it was just one example of how we work closely with the school to make sure their needs are met. Whether it’s a large-scale renovation or a smaller project, Iowa Walls is always ready to step up and help in any way we can.
Our relationship with Xavier High School has been incredibly rewarding, and we look forward to continuing to support their projects and growth for years to come. It’s more than just concrete and construction; it’s about building something that lasts—for the school, the community, and future generations of students.
